Indian Space Research Organisation, known as ISRO, will conduct an online course on the Overview of Space Science and Technology for school students.
The objective of the month-long programme is to provide knowledge and awareness to school students on various aspects of space science and technology. Technical sessions will be delivered by eminent space scientists of India. It will be a unique opportunity for children above the age of 10 years, from classes VI to XII, to understand the space technology. The Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) is open for students from India and abroad.
The online programme will run from June 6, 2022 to July 5, 2022. The medium of instructions will be in English.
During this course, total 10 hours online video sessions will be conducted. You could watch the video sessions as per your convenience. You can watch them multiple times. Based on video watch logs, the attendance for that session will be marked by the system.
Course Participation Certificates will be awarded by the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing of the ISRO based on the students’ attendance in technical sessions and their scores in online quiz assessments. A minimum score of 60% in the quizzes and 70% attendance in video sessions will be required to get course participation certificates.
The ISRO has successfully accomplished many space missions, including 114 spacecraft missions, 83 launch vehicles missions, 13 student satellites, 2 re-entry missions and 342 foreign satellites from 34 countries.
