Youth Leaders Inspire Change: India’s Impactful Role at COP28

Shri Yadav outlined a comprehensive seven-step sustainable lifestyle mantra, urging individuals to:

    • Opt for energy-efficient appliances and practices.
    • Turn off lights and electronic devices when not in use.
  3. Reduce Waste:

    • Practice recycling and composting to reduce landfill waste.
  4. Minimize E-Waste:
    • Responsibly dispose of electronic devices.
    • Consider repairing or donating gadgets before discarding.
  5. Cut Down on Single-Use Plastics:
    • Opt for reusable alternatives like bags and containers.
    • Avoid single-use plastics to reduce environmental impact.
  6. Adopt Sustainable Food Systems:
    • Choose locally sourced and sustainably produced food.
    • Minimize food waste by planning meals and composting.
  7. Embrace Healthy Lifestyles:
    • Prioritize physical and mental well-being.
    • Choose eco-friendly modes of transportation and promote active living.

Additionally, Shri Yadav announced the successful progress of the Indian government’s Mission LiFE initiative, dedicated to reducing individual carbon emissions with tangible positive outcomes.

The summit recognized and celebrated four outstanding young climate leaders from India, showcasing their impactful initiatives. These projects covered diverse environmental issues such as groundwater conservation, zero-waste practices, clean air advocacy, agroforestry, and biodiversity preservation.
